Well thats a start made on creating 2 new websites:

In other news! Its been a busy week @ Daxtra. We have a new release of Candidate Capture - (resume parsing software) about to enter the final testing stage.

Back home we just got a nice new sofa. We still have to move some furniture around to accomodate the old one.

I've managed to get my hands on the johnriddell.com domain :-)

I will have to create a seperate website for that domain soon.

Tomorrow sounds like it will be another busy day. I' setting up an AV buisness as well as entertaning the grand parents.

Mobile DJ

I am now available for mobile DJ/VDJ sets. If your into great new music I'd love to take a booking from you! Even if you prefer older hits, I'll still be happy taking requests.

I enjoyed some indoor karting this weekend.

Energy Bills

I came across this news article on BBC news. Basically it says that energy bills are difficult for people to understand and should therefore be made easier to read.

I'd argue that its a problem with education rather than billing if anything rather than changing the bills the consumers should be better educated. If the concept of calorific value is too difficult for people to understand its a problem with education, not the bills. Even the most simple 'Joe public' will have grasped the concept that the more gas they use the more they pay (possibly even that the two are directly proportional). Why then is it such a bad thing to show how a number on a meter is translated to a price.

If utility bills are simplified then interesting information may be removed from them.

Speed Humps

Concerned that driving over the numerous speed humps round Edinburgh and the negative effect that they may be havving on my car I decided to investigate what regulations govern speed humps.

Basicaly if they are over 10cm tall then they are illegal and you can probably sue the council for damage caused by them.

7 gigs in one weekend

Its been a busy weekend all round. I'm looking forwards to having some time off on monday!

New Web Site

Its been a busy few days. Following a discussion at work I created www.cvparsing.net. Adding a second website to my server ment figuring out a little about how to run virtual hosts.

Lawn

The enthusiasem wont last long but for the moment I

get some satifaction from mowing stripes into the lawn at the new house.

South East Asia Womens Award Ceremony

I was responcible for organising the sound, light and video for this event. On the stage were 2 radio microphones and 2 rear projector screens. We also had a small JBL PA and two followspots operated from the balcony. Please excuse the sidways picture!

New House

I've been busy this last week moving into our New House.
